If you live in Dubai, your AC runs almost all year. Knowing what a fair price looks like helps you avoid paying too much, or paying too little for a rushed job. Here is what an AC service, a repair and a yearly contract usually cost.
Standard AC service
A normal service covers cleaning the filters, washing the coils, flushing the drain line and checking the gas and electrical parts. Published Dubai price guides put one split unit at roughly AED 150 to AED 400. Ducted and central systems cost more because there is more to clean.
AC repair
Common faults like a blocked drain, a weak capacitor or a faulty thermostat are often quoted at AED 150 to AED 600. A gas leak repair and top-up, or a new compressor, costs more and depends on the unit.
Yearly maintenance contracts
A yearly contract bundles scheduled services with emergency call-outs. In Dubai these usually run from about AED 1,000 to AED 3,000 a year, depending on the number of units and what is covered.
What changes the price
- Number and type of units (split, ducted, window)
- How dirty the coils and ducts are
- Whether parts or gas are needed
- Access, for example units on a high wall or roof
